Governor Masari said President Buhari has been the best leader in the country
- He said some persons have infiltrated the APC
- He described them as devils who are making the Buhari administration difficult
Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina has said that some unnamed persons whom he described as devils have infiltrated the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Sun reports that the Katsina state governor said those persons are making it difficult for President Muhammadu Buhari to govern the country well.
He said those devils have specialised in draining the country’s economy.
He said: “These devils are out to pitch the electorate against the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
“Since the creation of the country, no government, whether military or civilian has done so much for the ordinary Nigerians than Buhari.
“The enemies of Buhari are the enemies of the people because all Buhari’s programmes are designed to improve the quality of lives of the people, especially the ordinary Nigerians.
“We must all be wary of them; they are greedy persons out to cause confusion because of their selfish interests and because they want to continue to loot and there is no room for that.
“So they devised a means of pitching the electorate against the government.
“The struggle now is between those who want development for the people and those who want to enrich themselves against the electorate and the principles of the APC.”
Meanwhile, the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) weighed in again on the controversial issues of restructuring the country, and disclosed what it would not accept, Vanguard reports.
According to the group, while they acknowledge the persistent calls for Nigeria to be restructured, they would not be stampeded into adopting a grand design from other regions, which would not be in their best interest.
